A bit about me…
As a Dean’s Scholar Graduate of the University of Wollongong (Bachelor of Creative Arts Theatre, 2019) I cherish the opportunity to develop new ideas- and constantly seek new ways to discuss and develop my understanding of performance, design and dramaturgy.
As a staunchly passionate, queer artist, I have been building my practise professionally since I was entrusted with my first gig, by Karen Norris - Rakini Devi’s PHD piece, Urban Kali, presented by FORM Dance, at Riverside Theatres Parramatta.
Since then I have explored my practice and adored all that theatre, dance and live performance; locally and abroad has to offer.. from independent dance and theatre, art happenings, performance nights; to enriching my practice as a lighting technician at the Sydney Opera House; to weaving my way through club and underground and queer rave/music/art sub-cultures
all which inadvertently inform my practise.
I come from a line of strong, queer, women and community ancestors. I have learnt, and continue to learn from EVERY practitioner.. every day.
I love experimenting with rich sensory experiences, dramaturgical wonder, and moments that have you captured in awe. I seek to push things to the edge, refine where necessary, and have heaps of fun while doing it.
I am in constant awe and take deep inspiration from those around me - those who I continue to collaborate with.. and with new collaborators alike. I love my lighting design craft.. and I look forward to painting with light… every time.
